1 min read

Stratasys’ new F870 combines a 1000 × 610 × 610 mm heated build chamber, Nylon 12CF support and a focus on production tooling, fixtures and factory aids.

Designed for the factory floor

Stratasys announced the F870 on September 9 for large tooling, jigs, assembly aids, fixtures and end-use parts.

The fully heated build volume measures 1000 × 610 × 610 mm. Materials include Nylon 12CF, ASA, ABS and FDM ABS Draft.

Toyota and Rivian

Toyota Production Engineering and Rivian Automotive are early users evaluating the platform for manufacturing aids and tooling.

What is new?

It is not a fundamental technology revolution, but an expansion of industrial FDM size, material capability and workflow.
